SCUBA DIVING WALES, SOUTH WALES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, LLANELLI, CARMARTHENSHIRE - The wind and swell will have a big effect on the diving conditions this week with moderate to strong Westerly winds and 3 foot plus swell and surf conditions. This would not be good for diving in the local areas around Cardiff and Swansea. May get better conditions around Stackpole Quay and around South West of the Welsh coastline.

PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver courses - This will be the big season for our diver training with the PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Open Water Diver all being run throughout September, October and November. The swell is getting down to a smaller 3-2 foot and the winds are mainly under 10 mph except for Thursday and Saturday. Conditions for entrance and exiting should be better this week, however the visibility may be limited due to the previous conditions. The further West the better the conditions with possible better conditions in Stack pole quay areas. Better to dive on the incoming tides in the morning and early evening.

PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver courses - The full range of the PADI Open Water Diver System is being offered for the South Wales region. The next confined pool session for the PADI Open Water Course will be run on 07th September 2019 at Hebron Hall Swimming Pool in Dinas Powys on the outskirts of Cardiff. The students will be completing the theoretical sessions before the swimming pool session on 7th September. There will also be students on the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and the PADI Rescue Diver course with Open Water Dates to be confirmed.

Scuba Diving Conditions Report Update - Local conditions are still looking unsuitable with choppy inshore waters. The swell and the winds are affecting the better diving areas and would require a high level of knowledge and experience to dive competently. SCUBA DIVING WALES, SOUTH WALES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, LLANELLI, CARMARTHENSHIRE - Weather is very bad across the South Wales region covering the scuba diving in Cardiff, Swansea, Llanelli, Burry Port, Carmarthen. Very high winds and Heavy rain are predicted over the next few days making the conditions for scuba diving very bad. Big swells and very stormy waters and conditions would make diving in the local area very volatile so our advise is to stay out of the water this weekend. Even Inland sites will be affected but may be the only option to dive this weekend.

PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver courses - Even with the bad weather we are still teaching people accross the country especially in South Wales. We are running the PADI Open Water Diver Course and the PADI Rescue diver course with students across South Wales. A good course for all people is the Emergency First Response course teaching first aid and basic care for in the home, workplace and from the water. The next PADI Open Water Course will be held on 7th September 2019.

WEATHER - Very hot and dry week last week with record temperatures accross South Wales. This week is also looking dry and warm but not as hot. Temperatures up into the 20 degrees rather than the 30 degrees. Wind is also mainly moderate with the highest predicted up to 17 mph Westerlies on Tuesday. Quite settle and moderate warm and dry conditions. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2648385?day=2) (https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcjqmsw80)

SCUBA DIVING WALES, SOUTH WALES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, LLANELLI, CARMARTHENSHIRE - Again not great conditions for Scuba Diving across the South Wales region, there has been huge surg and swells for the past few days affecting all inshore sites. The swell is dropping off next week but the visibility will be not very good to say the least. Looking for calmer days in August through to September to clear the water and get good diving conditions. West Wales as always will be the better option for diving this week and beyond.

PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver courses - The PADI Open Water Course is being run at the moment across all bases in South Wales. The course entalining Theoretical learning, practical diving and Open Water dives will allow on completion the ability to dive anywhere in the world up to 18 meters. SCUBA DIVING WALES, SOUTH WALES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, LLANELLI, CARMARTHENSHIRE - Conditions are not great for Scuba Diving for the next few days especially from the exposed beaches and areas. High winds and big swells are creating unsuitable conditions for Scuba Diving in all regions covering Cardiff, Porthcawl, Swansea and to Stackpole Quay. The only possibility may be in the West of Wales which will have more offshore winds in certain areas. Visibility will be low due to the sea conditions so all round not looking as good as the previous settled weeks of diving.

PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver courses - The PADI certification system is the ticket into Scuba Diving anywhere in the world. Starting with the PADI Open Water Diver course allowing the diver to dive with a buddy up to 18 meters anywhere worldwide. We have recently completed the PADI Open Water Diver course with three students Rosalind, Matthew and Adam. They are now qualified to dive globally and hopefully progress the experience knowledge and understanding.

Warmer Seas and small swells through the next few days after with possibly Wednesday picking up to 4 foot. Choppier seas with the higher winds but should be calmer into next week,

SCUBA DIVING WALES, SOUTH WALES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, LLANELLI, CARMARTHENSHIRE - The wind and the swell has increase this week and inshore sea conditions will be affected. With the bigger swells and choppier seas the diving conditions will not be as good as last week. Protected areas will be better such as Stackpole Quay near Tenby. Local conditions and areas close to Cardiff and Swansea will be less favourable with limited visibility and hard entrance and exit conditions. Higher levels of qualifications and experience will be required to assess and deal with the conditions.

PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver courses - This weekend we are training the PADI Open Water Diver Course at an Inland site in the UK. Our students are Adam, Rosalind and Matthew. All will be completing four open water dives after successfully completing the Confined Water and the Theory sections of the PADI diver training system. SCUBA DIVING CONDITIONS REPORT FOR CARDIFF, SWANSEA, NEWPORT, SOUTH WALES AREA
Easterly winds for another week accross South Wales creating good clean entrance and exit points on Westerly facing beaches and good inshore conditions for diving. Possibly diving areas in Swansea, Llanelli and towards camarthenshire. The winds are cold so need to assess thermal protection, dry suits and training required through the PADI Dry Suit course. Also levels of experience are required preferably to a PADI Rescue diver or PADI Dive master. Visability is low due to the constant swell so more a training dive situation than one with great visability.

SCUBA DIVING CONDITIONS REPORT FOR CARDIFF, SWANSEA, NEWPORT, SOUTH WALES AREA
There are big Easterly offshore winds this week which will mean the inshore dive sites should be protected from Wind and swell. This could allow good access into the waters around South Wales on the High Tides. The weekend early morning and on the early evening would have the best conditions on the High incoming tides and the protected areas. Visability will be questionable especially the further down the channel you go.
We have now completed several PADI Open water courses accross the country including London, Bolton, Cardiff, Stratford Upon Avon and Coventry. The students will all now be progressing towards completing the 4 Open Water Dives to complete the full PADI Open Water.
