Scuba Diving Conditions and Activities Report for Cardiff, Swansea, South and West Wales  I would definitely get in your car this weekend and head off to West Wales because there's definitely no diving on the Coast near Cardiff, Swansea, Tenby or anywhere on the South Wales coast. There has been very high winds and huge swells across South Wales for the past couple of weeks so the diving conditions have been blow out completely.

West Wales will be alot more protected but still be affected by the high winds and swells, therefore visibility may be affected with the churning of the waters. The forecast is not looking to change either with still big winds and swells, so the best option may be to head inland to the sites in chepstow, Bristol and Frome over the bridge.

We are in the swimming pool this weekend in Hebron Hall in Cardiff holding a Charity Christmas Jumper dive in aid of Save the Children. All are welcome and we simply require a donation of £10 per person plus any sponsorship. We are looking to raise a minimum of £250 for the charity and are well on the way already.

On the same pool session we are also running the PADI Open Water Diver Course and the PADI Rescue Diver course with Jess from Cardiff University and Camarthen. Pool sesions will take a break over the christmas break and will be back in full flow in the new year.

Scuba Diving Conditions and Activities Report for Cardiff, Swansea, South and West Wales  NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! BIG WIND, HUGE SWELL, MONSTROUS SEAS ARE YOU CRAZY, head for the hills and get diving inland the only place to be in the water this week and through the weekend. The coast is a definate no go usless you are very experienced and the bay is very sheltered from sort Barney and the prevailing Sea conditions. Visability will be bad for some time to come so as we always say in diving "Don't hold your breath".

Last weekend Lewis, Andrew, Domonic, James, Jess, Rhodri and Timothy from Cardiff, Swansea, Bridgend and Newport completed the PADI Open water Diver and the PADI Scuba Diving Course in a local inland Scuba Diving Site. All the students passed with flying colours and are now moving onto there new life underwater.

Jessica and James are joining David K and David A and Hector on the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course this weekend completing 5 Open Water Dives to gain the certification which will allow them to Scuba Dive anywhere in the world up to 30 meters.  As stated in the conditions report the course will be completed in land get gain the best conditions possible for the students.

The next few weeks we will also be completing the PADI Rescue diver course for Advanced Students progressing to one of the highest Scuba Diving levels for recreational divers.

Scuba Diving Conditions and Activities Report for Cardiff, Swansea, South and West Wales  Really only one word for this BAD, BIG WINDS, BIG SWELLS, BAD VISIBILITY. The only possible place to dive over the next couple of days is West Wales as usual. The coastlines of Cardiff and Swansea are a definite no unless you are commercially diving or  slightly mad.

The water temperature is still high and the inland sights such as Vobster Quay have good conditions so the best place for a local dive next to Swansea and Cardiff are the local inland sites.

We are now in full flow training the PADI Open Water Diver course in Hebron Hall in Cardiff on Saturday and 14th/15th November. Students will be attending the course from Cardiff University and Cardiff, Swansea, Bridgend and Newport. The students will be training on there theory and swimming pool sessions in hebron Hall on Saturday and completing the Open Water Dives on 14/15th to gain the full certification.

The following week we will be running the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course for 5 Students who are competeing the course to gain a higher level of ability and be able to dive anywhere in the orld to 30 meters.

Scuba Diving Conditions and Activities Report for Cardiff, Swansea, South and West Wales 22.10.2015 - What can I say, we had very good conditions for a while and now the wind and rain has descended upon us and the conditions have totally changed. There is a big low pressure coming in from the North at the moment which means pretty much all the dive sites around Cardiff, Swansea, South and West Wales will be affected. The only possibility may be the coast of West Wales on the most sheltered areas such as Martins Haven and St Brides Bay. So it looks like the diving is going to change for the worse over the next few days and possibly weeks, might be time to head off to those inland sites or get on the plane.

The water temperature is still 14 Degrees so the water is very comfortable at the moment, it might be an idea to head inland, we are off to do a Halloween Dive at the Vobster Diving facility in Somerset. So if anyone has any suitable masks and costumes please let us know.

The next few days we will be completeing the PADI Open Water Diver course with our new bunch of divers from Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and across the region. The course will firstly be completed in the Swimming Pool in Cardiff and then in the open Water to gain the full PADI Open Water Qualification allowing them to dive anywhere in the world upto 18 meters.

As mentioned we are also heading over to Vobster Quay for the annual Halloween Fancy Dress Dive with our qualified divers from the centre, we will then be joining the the festivities for the Halloween bash.

Scuba Diving Conditions for Cardiff, Swansea, South Wales and West Wales areas . Firstly apologies for the lack of the report from last week, we have been away diving over the past couple of weeks and didn't have access to write the report, that's the bad news. The good news is that were having a late summer and the conditions have been good especially in West Wales an the protected beaches and sites over the past couple of weeks. The wind has been slight and the swell has not been as big as predicted. West Wales areas such as Martins Haven, St Brides Bay, Aberiddy and other sheltered Westerly spots have had the best of the conditions and with the warm weather we have had good clear and warm conditions, after the wash out of the summer this has been fantastic news. We may even get some diving in local areas to Swansea and Cardiff such as Limeslade Bay in Swansea if the conditions stay this way for the next few days.

Keep an eye of the weather at all times and especially the wind and swell conditions these are the real factors when assessing the conditions of the coast and the visibility. As always the right certification is essential especially when diving in the UK. We are training our next batch of PADI Open Water Divers this weekend with Paul and Tom from Cardiff, David from Carmarthen and Patrick from somewhere in the valleys.

There is also the PADI Divemaster training for Jo, Chris, Paul and Maria the guys have been training for several weeks now honing their skills to train to the professional level of Qualification which will allow the to work as a Qualified assistant instructor anywhere in the world, so good luck to everyone.

Well all I can say is that it hasn't really been the best year for wether and subsequently Scuba Diving on the Coastline of South Wales. We have had alot of rain and  wind and swell throughout the summer and the temperature has been cold through out and it hasn't changed this week either. Ther is still rain and wind and the conditions are not great from Cardiff up to Stackpole Quay in Pembrokshire. The best options again will be on the West Wales coastline in pembrokeshire especially Martins Haven and St Brides Bay. They are protected from the wind and swell so get better conditions throughout the year. Hopefully September and October will start to bring lighter conditions so we can get back in the water when the temperture is still comfortable.

We are stiil trining through out the season and through out the year with people atttending our Scuba Diving Courses fron Cardiff, Swansea, Bridgend, Newport and through out South Wales. This weekend we are teaching the PADI Open Water Diver Course and the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course. On the course are David, Stuart, Grace and Sally on the PADI Open Water Diver and Stuart, Jacob and Luke and the PADI Advanced Course. They will be completeing the course over the weekend with their instructors Dan, Paul, Chris and Jo. So good luck to all of them

Scuba Diving Conditions for Cardiff, Swansea, South Wales and West Wales areas . Well the weather seems to have turned a corner from absolutely terrible, wind, rain, swell to not as terrible. The wind, swell and rain have all died down and things are calming down on the coastal areas. This could mean the areas around South Wales might start to clear giving better visibility and diving conditions. At the moment the conditions are still poor on the South Wales coast close to Swansea and Cardiff and are as usual looking more favourable in West Wales including Dale, Martins Haven and St Brides Bay. We may see better conditions at stackpole Quay lose to Tenby over the coming week. If the swell and the wind stay down the diving could be good in these areas.

This weekend we are teaching the PADI Open Water Diver Referral Course at Hebron Hall on the outskirts of Cardiff, David, Stuart, Sally and Huw are all completing the course travelling from Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and West Wales. The group will also be completeing their four Open Water Qualifying Dives on the 12th and 13th September in a local diving location.

After completeing the PADI open Water Diver Course the students will be able to dive anywhere in the world upto 18 meters. After this level they will be able to move onto the PADI Advanced Open Water Course.

Scuba Diving Conditions for Cardiff, Swansea, South Wales and West Wales areas . In the words of the song "Oh my God I can't Believe it" the weather is shocking. Storms, Rain, Gales, Swell everything bad for good diving conditions in South Wales and even over to West Wales. Its been a pretty bad year so far for diving in the region and this week really is the final nail in the coffin. I can't see he visability getting any better for days if not weeks. We can only pray that September is a better month to Dive. I can't even say that west wales will be any better as the storms are big constant and all over. Time to learn to surf I think.

Due to the bad weather and sea conditions we are going to be teaching the PADI Open Water Course inland again. This week we have Ian, Tom and Jeff form Cardiff, Rob and Daniel from Swansea all completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification which on completion will allow them to dive anywhere in the world up to 18 meters. They have completed there basic pool and theory skills and are now ready for the four Open Water Dives. There instructors will be Dan, Stewart and Paul.

On the 5th September we will be running the PADI Open Water Referral course in Hebron Hall on the outskirts of Cardiff, the course will be taught to students from all over the South Wales Region and on completion will be ready for the four Open Water Qualifying Dives.

Scuba Diving Conditions for Cardiff, Swansea, South Wales and West Wales areas . Well again it has not been the best conditions for diving in South Wales, the swell has been big, the wind has been high and it dosent semm to be letting up at all at the moment. The best areas again will be West Wales in areas such as Martins Haven and St Brides Bay in pembrokeshire. The areas are far more sheltered here and less swell, and tidal movement so they offer far better diving areas than the more exposed South Facing area's in the channel.

Due to the weather and sea conditions we are teaching the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course inland this weekend to give the students the best opportunity for there training. We have students from accross South Wales including Ben and Laura from Swansea, Matthew from Cardiff, Alistair from Camarthen and Gemma from Swansea. The course will consist of 5 dives including Peak Buoyancy, Wreck, Deep, Navigation and naturalist diving.

The next traing event will be on the 22nd and 23rd August when we will be running the PADI open Water Diver Course for students accross the area. The course will consist of 4 qualifying dives to gain there first Scuba Diving Certification.
