Its our first open water weekend coming up and I would say the waters getting warmer but alas its not. We have got Alex from Cardiff Univercity, Jess and Lee from Swansea and also Robert From Swansea and they are all getting prepared to complete their 4 open water dives in the national diving and activity center in Chepstow.
The guys are all prepered and ready to go we have completed their theory and pool training in Swansea and in Cardiff and now they are ready for their first open water scuba dives. Scuba diving is by far the most amazing experience in the world and its not a sport and anyone can experience the amazing experience of diving.
We will let you know how the guys get on and put their pictures onto facebook so you can all see.
Its not a sport and anyone can do it from the ages o 10 - 100 as long as you have reasonable fitness and can kick breath and see you can Scuba Dive.
We have been training people to Scuba Dive in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Bridgend, South Wales and across the UK for 15 years now and we are very proud to do so. We have shown people the most amazing things dolphins, sharks, Turtles, mantas, morays you name it we have seen it and shown hundreds of people.
We have been teaching people to dive for 15 years now and are pround to say we are the longest running dive center in Cardiff, Swansea and South Wales.
We have enjoyed every minute of teaching people the most amazing experience of scuba diving and been very lucky to dive across the world on the planets most amazing coral reefs and seas.
We hope to be wit you for another 15 years training people how to dive in the beautiful oceans of the world so hopefully you can come along and join us on our journey.
I keep saying it but I sure the weather is going to get better some day soon, what ever happens we are still going to be scuba diving all accross the country and especially in Cardiff, swansea, Porthcawl, Bridgend, Newport and all over south wales.
The PADI system of diving allows us to train poeple to get the certification to dive anywhere in the world. At the moment we have callum, cameron, lee, Robert and bruce coming through the scuba diving training programme to obtain their Open Water Diver qualification. They are attending courses in Cardiff, Swansea and newport
Once complete the guys will be able to dive anywhere in the world up to 18 meters, which is an amazing acheivement. They can then go onto the Advanced Open Water Diver Qualification to progress to the next level.
We have been away again this weekend training more people to become qualified scuba divers and we have had a great time showing paul and the boys and girls all the skills of becoming a scuba diver. They group are going on an expedition to honduras so they have been with us in Cardiff learning all heir skills of Scuba Diving and having a great time as well.
The group first learn all the concepts of diving through reading their books and manuals and answering the questions of scuba diving in their knowledge reviews. Once we have completed a small test they are ready to complete their swimming pool training learning all the practical skills for them to become a qualified Scuba Diver.
Our courses run continuously in Cardiff and in Swansea so anyone can come along and join in the fun.
So far this year the boys and girls at ocean quest have been very active, we have been scuba diving all over the world so far including South Africa, Russia, egypt, Indonesia, cardiff, swansea and bridgend.
Our trips to south africa and russia were major events once again with the guys seeing the most wonderfull things you can imagine, sharks, whales, dolphins you name it we saw it an amazing event.
But we have also been running our scuba diving courses in Cardiff and in Swansea as always with our PADI open water diver courses and advanced, rescue , divemaster etc constanly running.
We will keep you informed with everything we are up to over the next year, and bring you more stories and adventures.
This weekend we are back at Hebron Hall in Dinas Powys in Cardiff running our first PADI international Open Water Diving Course. We have people attending from all over south Wales including Cardiff, Swansea, Bridgend and Newport and they are all prepared and ready to start their course.
We start on Friday 1st March at 5.30pm on the eveneing where we will be completing and initial introduction to diving and to the Scuba System. We will then be attending the following day to complete all thepool sessions on the course. This will then be completed with a theoretical session to develpoe the students understanding of the Scuba System and its usage.
We will soon be in the Open Water conducting our Open Water training to complete the full PADI Internationl course, so good luck and happy diving to everyone.
Thats right we are diving all over the world at the moment, we are always diving in Cardiff and Swansea, we have just come back from South Africa and the lads are off Ice diving in Russia. The courses are up and running in Cardiff on saturday 2nd March from now untill the end of the year and we are diving in Swansea at morriston swimming pool every wednesday night all the way through the year.
The boys Paul from Cardiff, Dan from bridgend and John from Swansea are all off Ice diving in Russia, yes thats right they are Ice Diving, we will let you now how they get on when they return next sunday. The temperatures out there at the moment are -40 so good luck to them.
We will also be back in the open water with our open water dives in march where we will be running the open water and advanced open water diver courses, so come on and join in the fun and get diving in 2013!
We have been out and about since our trip to south africa travelling up and down the country teaching people how to scuba dive, the instructors have been traveling from Cardiff, Swansea, Bridgend and newport to team schools all accross the uk.
We really have been busy, and now we are ready to prepare to get back into the open water training our students from all over south wales and beyond the amazing skill of scuba diving.
We are running our courses in Cardiff and Swansea training people to get ready for the Open Water training weekends where they will become fully qualified divers allowing them to dive anywhere in the world to 18 meters so good look to everyone preparing to get into the water.
We'll we are back into the full swing of things now, we are back diving in Hebron Hall in Cardiff in Dinas Powys on the 1st/2nd March and we are back diving in the swimming pool in Morriston leisure center every wednesday night at 6.15pm.
We have a full programme of courses running including the Open Water Diver Course, Advanced, Rescue and Dive Master. We will also be back in the open water soon, were just waiting for the water to warm up a little bit.
Must give a big shout for a couple of the lads from Cardiff, Bridgend and Swansea off ice diving in Russia on the 16th February. Good look to them and remember to take your wolly jumpers.
