Scuba Diving Wales, South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Carmarthenshire 19th July - Good conditions for Scuba diving this week, light winds and low swells with good tides with give good quality water to dive in especially the West Wales coastline. Head for Martins Haven, St Brides bay with very good sea conditions and visibility. The government has move released the lockdown measures and is allowing travel and diving within specific groups.
PADI and SSI Open Water Diver courses in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and South Wales - We are now able to offer PADI and SSI diver training programmes continuing with online learning and Open water confined and practical training. We are unable to use swimming pools at present but base our training in the open water sites of West Wales. All safety and government regulations will be adhered to.

The weather is dry and the swells and winds are moderate. Possible better conditions in West Wales around the pembrokeshire coastline including Martins Haven and St Brides Bay.

High winds and big swells will create stormier, choppier seas and visibility as well as access and egress will be poor. Conditions will calm down but still not great conditions and visibility very poor. Most likely area for diving will be West Wales in Martins Haven and St Brides.

This should give better conditions for scuba diving in the South Wales and West Wales areas. Visibility may be low due to the recent swells and winds but entrance and exits from shore protected and water temperatures are getting to a comfortable 14 degrees.

Diving conditions will not be good on the South wales coast for the next few days but should change on Monday onwards with lighter winds and smaller swells. Sites in West Wales will also be effected with the winds coming in from the North. Very strong winds on Saturday making diving conditions volatile for the whole region. Sunday should be a better day and next week having the better of the low wind and smaller swells.

The new winds and swells will cause adverse conditions on many coastal areas on the South Wales coast especially on the weekend with 30 mph Westerly winds and up to 12 foot swells. The protected beaches will have the better conditions such as martins Haven in West Wales and St Brides in the same area. Coastal areas facing West and South such as stackpole quay will have harder diving conditions. This may be easing on Monday and Tuesday next week.
