WEATHER - Another week and another storm is coming in on the back of storm Ciara. This time its Dennis who is the menace, very high winds, driving rain, snow medium to low temperatures. The whole of the South wales area will be under siege again from this new storm system. The worst of the weather will be on the weekend with winds up to 50 mph South Westerlies and generally through the week the winds will be over 30 mph and from the South Westerly direction. WIND -  Winds are huge this week and mainly from the South Westerly direction. General winds are 30 mph Westerly and South Westerly and up to 50 mph on the weekend. Winds will be high through the days with Storm Dennis coming in from the South and West causing the high winds.

SCUBA DIVING WALES, SOUTH WALES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, LLANELLI, CARMARTHENSHIRE 13th February 2020 - Strom Dennis is bringing very rough seas and coastal conditions to South Wales and across the country. Huge swell, massive surf, gale force winds all resulting in very rough sea conditions and very poor Scuba Diving conditions in the South wales area. The definite best option would be to go inland and dive in the calmer waters of inland sites. We are away in Epsom London this weekend with a school group learning the SSI Open Water Diver course as part of their expedition to Madagascar in 2020. We are also teaching the PADI Open water Diver course in our local area. Cardiff Scuba diving courses are held at Hebron Hall in Dinas Powys Cardiff and people from all over South Wales including Scuba Diving Courses in Swansea and Scuba diving courses in Newport all held at the facility in Cardiff.

PADI and SSI Open Water Diver courses in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and South Wales - Cardiff Scuba diving courses and held in our swimming pool in Dinas Powys on the outskirts of Cardiff and Swansea Scuba Diving courses are also held in the Pool in Dinas Powys run on a single day for the pool session and theory lessons completed online.

WEATHER - This weeks weather is a tale of two halves, the next few days will be dry with South Easterly winds and colder feeling due to the winds and the lower temperatures. The weather will change on Saturday onwards with temperatures around the same will see a change in the wind as it picks up to 40 mph South Westerly, with the gale force winds the temperatures will feel colder and on Sunday onwards the winds is a real factor as it rise to 60 / 50 mph South Westerlies with warning signs from the Met Office. WIND -  Big wind week ahead, the next couple of days will see fairly moderate South Easterly 15 - 17 mph winds. From Saturday onwards the weather will change and the wind will change dramatically up to 40 mph South Westerly winds and then up to 60 and 50 mph winds Sunday and Monday. . Wind will then drop on Tuesday and Wednesday to 20 mph Westerlies.
SEA STATE and SWELL -  Thursday and Friday will have calmer seas with offshore winds through out the region and in an easterly direction. Saturday onwards in a different story, huge winds and swells will create very rough and stormy sea conditions. This will be severe until Tuesday when the winds will drop and the sea state will clam down but still be moderate.

Wind will drop into next week and so will the swell which will allow better entry and exit conditions for the area. Visibility however will be minimal need to keep close inshore. PADI Open water Diver Courses and PADI Advanced Open Water courses will be continuing through the year with Open water diver sessions later as the water gets more accessible and comfortable. WEATHER - A little more settled this week with lighter spells of wind and lighter rain. Friday through to Wednesday should be dry and Wednesday and Thursday rain. Temperatures are between 7 - 10 degrees with colder temperatures on the nights. Winds are still quite strong with 20mph plus mainly Northerly and North Easterly the next few days. WIND -  Winds are predominantly Northerly over the next few days and stronger on Friday and Saturday up to 28 mph. Wind will decrease on Sunday and Monday and change strong 27 mph South Westerly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Possible wind change to South Easterly on Thursday.
SEA STATE and SWELL -  Inshore conditions on the South Wales coast should generally be calm on Friday through to Monday and especially on Monday with Northerly winds predicted and light Northerlies on Monday. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday see a change in the week to Southerly winds up to 27 mph which will affect the sea state to stormy and choppy and rough sea states for these days.

SCUBA DIVING WALES, SOUTH WALES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, LLANELLI, CARMARTHENSHIRE - Strong Northerly winds should clean up inshore conditions across South Wales therefore possible better sea conditions for diving on the coastline from Cardiff to Stackpole Quay. Conditions will change from Tuesday onwards as the winds change to a Southerly direction across the region bringing rougher inshore conditions. Sea state and swells will also be bigger and rougher on Tuesday onwards. Visibility will be minimal on all days due to previous conditions.

PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Rescue Diver courses and PADI Divemaster - We are currently running the PADI Open Water Diver course at Hebron Hall on the outskirts of Cardiff in Dinas Powys. The course is running on 7th December at Hebron Hall from 8am - 3pm on the Saturday session. We shall also be offering the PADI Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver courses.
